I want a tote bag that has a removable inner lining which can be used as a crossbody!

Has anyone ever seen one please? Or know what I should search for? I’ve just come back from holiday with friends and my Mia Tui Jennie was perfect for the plane. But far too big for daytime. I attached a £5 Matalan bag inside it that I could then use as a liner but also remove for nights out and sightseeing. Worked perfectly but the Matalan bag looks horrendous!

any ideas please?

And probably should add that I’ve seen ones with removable clutches but want something a bit more substantial

That sounds like a good idea. It's similar, but not helpful, but I have a large bag for swimming that has a pouch included for valuables etc and a detachable shoulder strap. You then attach the strap to the pouch included and it becomes a crossbody. Could you DIY something similar - buy a shoulder strap for one of your existing nice crossbodys and attach it to your Jennie etc then swap over?

Just saw your update! Nevermind me 😁

Keroppi - I hadn’t thought of swapping the straps actually so thank you! I do actually want a new bag so that suggestion opens up a few more options

I don't understand why you can't just take a normal tote and a separate cross body bag? What's the benefit to the one being inside the other ? Can't you pop your cross body bag inside your suitcase ?

Or if you have check in luggage then you can take both cross body bag and tote on the plane - cross body for your passport, money etc and tote for any items you want to access for the journey or immediately you get there .

Because I’m lazy! But also because of limited space. It just seemed so simple to keep everything in the crossbody bag and not swap everything from bag to bag. People buy liners for Le Pliages for example and I thought a liner that could be used as an actual bag was a good idea
