Am fed up of schlepping a huge rucksack around and dc are just out of the age of needing endless kit when we go out. Fed up with feeling like a Sherpa and want to feel like I’m carrying a bag for me, but obviously needs to be durable and practical too. Saw this in a shop today what do you think?

I really like a cross body, you are arms free! And I like that fabric, although some people get a bit itchy toothed about it. I dream of a me only bag, currently just re stocking the emergency car bag, along with the day out bag..

I’ve got a few Roka bags, not this style though and they are really well made and great quality. I love cross body bags. I’ve got their Paddington cross body but that’s probably too small for what you need at the moment. I’d definitely recommend them.

I like it! Big fan of crossbody bags and carrying the minimum amount possible.

Love a crossbody and this is a nice one

lentilly · 25/10/2022 22:20

I really don't like the fabric choice but the style etc is nice

I like it. I have a similar cross body bag and it's really useful. You just need to decide what goes in which pocket and stick to it religiously!

legophoenix · 25/10/2022 22:24

I think you can get much nicer looking crossbody bags. Definitely not a fashion item.

But if you like it and you need something practical then get it.

Bigslippers · 25/10/2022 22:26

I love a crossbody bag, so easy when out and about.
Personally not a fan of the fabric and colour. The bright colours seem to carry the fabric better (if that makes sense?)

I love a crossbody but I just think it looks like a bag a mum would carry. Sorry. Why not treat yourself to a lovely leather bag?

downtonupton · 25/10/2022 23:10

I just traded in a battered leather one for White Stuff Roka collaboration one (same as the one above but with a buckle on the front pocket)

www.whitestuff.com/accessories-and-shoes/womens-accessories/mid-yellow-recycled-roka-kennington-bag/

I am really happy with it - I've been using it everyday since July or so and so far so good - holds a lot but is still compact.

I did have a leather bag before - but I find the leather bags in my price range look battered too quickly.

Confusedandperplexed · 26/10/2022 08:38

@BHRK i know what you mean but I am a mum - I could get a nice leather bag but it’ll just get bashed up going to the park/buggy basket/soft play etc?
maybe the brighter colours are a good idea

What's wrong with having a bag a mum would carry?
