Thinking of shaving my head

Hi all,

43 year old Caucasian female here with thinning hair. It’s also fine and quick to get greasy. It only lasts 1.5 days before it needs washing again.

I’ve been thinking for a while now that if I shave it it will possibly get thicker like my body hair did.

Has anyone done this for this purpose or another? What effects did it have? Would there be any side effects I may be not be aware of?

I am also thinking of using a wig until it gets at a reasonable length. Just dreading the thought of my oily scalp shining at work.

Or can anyone recommend an alternative till I go drastic about it? Like a very good trichologist in London?

Thanks very much in advance!

Shaving hair doesn't make it grow back thicker, so if that's your reasoning I really wouldn't do it, it also depends what a "reasonable length" is - could take years to get to that length!
