If I wanted a really nice white shirt

Where should I look? I like the style of a lot of the Cos ones and they look like they hang nicely but I’m petite so worry they would drown me. I’d like something I could wear with a one hundred stars short kimono or layered under a jumper but they hunk I’d prefer at least 3/4 length sleeves. Spam me please 😀

Depends if you want a more fashionable version - at the moment, lots of Victorian style high collars & lace - or a more classic tailored white shirt.

For fashionable I’d have a look in the sale section in Me&Em, or maybe &Other Stories but the quality is lower.

For classic maybe try Baukjen or Pure Collection or Hobbs.

Cos does not work for petite! (At least not for this petite…)

Probably more structured than fashion. Didn’t think of crew at all despite my DH getting shirts from there! I’ve only bought jersey from Baukjen before so I’ll have a look. I haven’t bought for a while so I’m off the catalogue spam list. Never thought of Hobbs.

I've had good white shirts in the past from Massimo Duttu, White Company, Gap and even H&M.

I’m tempted by sooo much stuff from Sezane but apparently the fit is large in some things and small in others so I’m reluctant to order.

As I was getting dressed this morning I spotted a short sleeved orange shirt I got from French Connection last year and idly wondered if they did a long sleeved version and they do. In white. It’s the Rhodes popover style one. So I’ve ordered that based on the fact I know it’ll fit and has that kind of cos oversized look without being massive on me. They also have a perfect flouncy shouldered cotton shirt that I might wait until sales time for. Flouncy isn’t something I’d considered so thanks for the choices everyone has posted.

I’ve seen recommendations for the Shirt Company, though not yet tried any..
