Help me find a pair of jeans

So. I need a pair of jeans. Not skinnies.
Body shape is essentially hourglass - I have a relatively small waist / larger hips. I'm a size 14 in trousers / 10-12 on the top.
however my stomach is pretty misshapen and bumpy following 4 x abdominal surgery and pregnancy. I'm saying this because I'm not entirely sure if high waisted is a good idea or not. From the side, my tummy looks pretty huge.

Allegedly straight jeans might be the way forward. But god almighty how does one navigate the endless different jeans styles. I don't want to go in for the baggy baggy look (did that 20 years ago). I need some definition otherwise I'll look sack like. I don't want to look frumpy / want to have a decent stab at looking 'alright'.

HELP.

M&S Sienna Supersoft

M&S do all of the shapes in all of the lengths. So I'd start there. Either go in and try on a load or order s big pile.

Buying jeans is just an unpleasant job like cleaning the oven or wrapping Christmas presents. You have to tackle it like an unpleasant job and try loads of them on.
