Meeting colleagues after 20 months WFH - send help please

After 20 months WFH we have an all-staff event organised in December (part celebration and part trying to encourage people back to the office)

This is at our main office (London) but will be colleagues from across the UK - I have not seen anyone (except via Teams) since December 2019. I live in the North West.

There are a lot more new folks too but core will be people who I have not been in same room with for basically three years. These are people I really like and have had good nights out with previously.

I have WFH and become very comfy with leggings, joggers, jeans and t-shirts, sweatshirts, PJs (yes that bad) and the like.

Style specialists - how do I dress for the return?

It's a minefield even allowing for new less formal rules for everyone, but I don't want to look like a frump but have no sense/interest in fashion in the first place

Depends on the workplace I suppose. Does it have to work for the day as well as the evening? What's your age? What's your style?

If you want to keep it easy and safe, a pair of well fitting black trousers and a classy top would be fine, surely? A blazer for the day if needed.

Or perhaps go treat yourself and book a personal shopping appointment and get a nice, interesting outfit?
