Autumnal trousers and boots

I'd like to find some straight (or wide-ish) legged flat fronted trousers in an autumnal rust or burnt orange shade, and some flat heeled rusty red/tan suede boots to wear with them.

Ditto some deep forest green trousers with olive boots.

I'm size 10 and 5'5" if that makes a difference.

Have looked in all my usual haunts without success: John Lewis, Hobbs, jigsaw, whistles, Zara, Massimo Dutti, Jones Bootmaker.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Toast? Cos?

Frankly820 · 16/10/2022 17:00

I swear by Dunnes straight leg jeans for £17, they do a nice olive green colour that I buy religiously every year. They are an Irish shop but deliver across the UK AFAIK. They are more like a denim/chino hybrid material than pure jeans.

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 17:02

Thanks
Not looking for jeans. More smart / casual. Something I could wear on an office day. Or to eg restaurant

Following. These sound like something i need Grin

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 17:05

Toast and Cos all seems a bit Andy Pandy voluminous shapes. Not v flattering? Did you see something specific there @thedevilinablackdress ?

Nothing specific, it just sounded like the kind of thing they might do, but not your thing.
This any better?

There are a few styles on Seasalt that might meet your brief @Fingernails4Cash

Those Dunnes jeans look good! I fancy the aubergine ones. @Frankly820 can you tell me if sizes run big/small or true to size?

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 17:52

Not tried seasalt before, thanks for the pointer. Definitely too casual though.
The hunt continues!

OP have you tried Boden? I saw these.

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 17:54

@Frankly820 Dunnes looks nice but nothing in my colours unfortunately. Those prices look too good to be true! How's the quality?

OP posts:
Frankly820 · 16/10/2022 17:55

I've had the aubergine in the past too, I literally live in these for work. I find the sizes run slightly big, I wouldn't go a size smaller but have a bit more room in them than the same size from other places if that makes sense? Do be aware they ship from ROI so there might be customs charges? I'm in NI so this doesn't apply.

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 17:56

MissyB1 · 16/10/2022 17:54

A couple of possibilities on there, thanks!
Still no leads on the boots

Quality is fine, much better than primark but slightly less than M&S I would say

QuietNeighbour · 16/10/2022 18:02

I just bought these, comfy and nice www.moshulu.co.uk/product/glacier-suede-2-ladies-ruched-suede-boots-3481#?variant=55

ChunkyMonkeyIsBack · 16/10/2022 18:06

I know it’s jersey material but the cord design doesn’t make it look casual. I have two in the purple and navy but am so tempted by the green one! I live in mine.

M&S

French Connection had a gorgeous pair of wide-legged orange trousers in recently. I can't find them on the website though - i’ve seen them in store and in John Lewis in the past few weeks.

Fingernails4Cash · 16/10/2022 23:10

Thanks all. @QuietNeighbour those are good boots!

Moshulu make all their boots and shoes in a great range of colours. They frequently have money off offers so it might be worth getting on their email list.

UglyJumper · 17/10/2022 06:39

Have a look at Esprit. Lots of colours and different styles to choose from.

Camesawconquered · 17/10/2022 06:48

Have you tried M&S? I have a really flattering pair of wide legs trousers from there in both black and olive green, haven't seen rust in the store but may be on their website?

wincarwoo · 17/10/2022 07:01

Heffapotamus · 17/10/2022 07:25
