wash and wear jumpers

I am looking for crew neck jumpers that are thick enough to keep me warm and with a bit of texture to hide my lumps and bumps.
Something I can wash in the machine, hang up to dry quickly, no bobbling also roomy enough to wear a shirt underneath.
Not massively big and slouchy or too heavy.
Dark colour £40 budget.
Can anyone help?

Have you tried uniqlo? Their jumpers wash really well

I have some great lambswool jumpers from uniqlo, but I find that they do need to be washed pretty carefully, ironed and debobbled regularly.
I would just like something a bit more easy going.

Watching with interest I’m fed up of wearing jumpers a couple of times then becoming bobblely (sp)

I have second hand men's merino/lambswool jumpers. Lambswool would be good if you don't want a fine knit. Many are machine washable though they don't need washing often if worn over something, bacteria don't like wool so mine never smell. Acrylic or cotton won't keep you warm.

I haven't washed a jumper yet this winter as I always wear wool.

I haven't washed a jumper yet this winter as I always wear wool.

It sounds good, but I always seem to spill stuff down my front.

I picked up a couple from Tesco (last of the big spenders that I am) and they are great. I just put them on a 30min cool wash and hang them out to dry and they don't need ironing. They wash well, hold their shape and haven't bobbled yet.

Topshop on ASOS have jumpers in the £40 range. I have a couple and they wash well.
