I have to do a few presentations that are going to be recorded at work (apart from addressing the anxiety and self doubt accompanying that 😅) I’ve lost my youthful sheen. Yep that’s gone.

My Skin is fragile; my neck is sagging and I’ve had no treatments todate. Going through the big M too so having hormone therapy.

I have investigated profhilo but a nurse said it makes hardly any difference and best to go with Botox. Help! I don’t know where to start with cosmetic treatments and don’t want to look frozen.

Same situation, I've started with retinol and am going for a Botox consult on Monday morning!

Arietty oh let me know how it goes. How is the retinol working for you? I tried retinol once and my face looked like the Sahara. That’s was twenty years ago. Let me know how it goes Monday, best of luck!

Profilo does work, but you need at least 2 sessions, 5 weeks a part and at £395 each session it's expensive. It gives your skin a glow effect. I've had it and in my opinion it's not worth it, I can achieve the same glow with makeup.
I think it's more of a complimentary treatment, and doesn't really tackle lines. Botox works, is relatively cheap, and if used in modest amounts, does make you look much younger and rested.
Cheaper and very effective, is well groomed, shaped eyebrows. I get HD brows, but the current trend, is to have Brow Lamination, your brows are brushed up and set. It makes them appear fuller and fluffier.
For a long term change, use Tretinoin ( available on prescription) it is the most researched skin product and is scientifically proven to increase collagen. It'll take 6 months of use before you see results.
