Nail colours - help for a manicure newbie

At the grand age of 40, I've decided to have my first manicure and pedicure! I've never been very good at paying for good grooming - I used to slap a bit of nail varnish on when I was younger but I don't even manage that any more.

So my question is, what colour do I go for? Am I right in thinking matching hands and feed is a no no? Will they deal with the dry skin on my trotters or do I need to tackle that before I go?? Any guidance welcome!

I prefer something nude/neutral/beige for hands then something more bright/colourful/sparkles on feet. As for dry skin, I suppose it depends what you’ve booked but usually they will do some exfoliating unless you’ve booked an express pedi. Hope you enjoy it!

Keep nails short and chic and go for something dark for the autumn. Always classy
