Can anyone recommend a good white nail polish?

I'm looking for one that's a bit sheer rather than like Tipp-ex and preferably available at Boots. Any suggestions?

Essie Marshmallow? Sheer but still clearly white, and a little bit iridescent, with both warm and cool undertones so it works on most skin tones.

I’m also interested in these recommendations - does the Essie one tend to be streaky, @Maduixa?

Maduixa · 10/10/2022 14:31

@Notarealmum I find that it's pretty streaky on the first coat no matter what I do, so if you want it very sheer it might not be for you. I usually shake the bottle hard, do a thin first coat, let it dry, shake again, and then add a thicker second coat. It does dry pretty fast (3 minutes or so) though.

Thanks @Maduixa, I think a sheer, one coat white-ish nail polish will remain my holy grail!

I’m interested in this too. I find Essie far too streaky and can’t be bothered with 2 coats!

Yes, I think that can be a problem with creme polishes in general, especially sheer ones. Shimmers and frosts are far more forgiving!
