Gel nail polish query for nail artists/gurus

So I've finally sucked it up and bought a gel nail polish system (mylee) and I've got a bit excited and ordered a bunch of different shades.

I've also ordered some of the plastic nail strips like you get in the salon and plan to paint these with the colours I have.

Really dumb and blonde question so apologies in advance here.. but when I paint these plastic 'nails' with my colours am I supposed to cure them or just set them to dry?

I'm not sure plastic can go in there.. but then the polish doesn't dry by itself does it, so I assume it needs to go in?

Please settle my simple mind Grin

You cure it, otherwise it will remain sticky.

You need to cure it.
I have the same kit, what I do is clean the little sticks with the prep/wipe solution to remove any dirt or dust, do two coats of colour and then a coat of top coat curing each coat for 60 seconds. Then use the prep/wipe solution to remove the sticky layer off the top coat.

Thank you both so much for making me feel a little less stupid Smile

I will do just that!

Oh and if anyone has any specific brands they've tried and loved, I'd appreciate that too.

Thanks!

Definitely check out Bluesky, most of my gel polishes are from there.
