What to wear for secret wedding

If you were getting married let's perhaps say at Marylebone registry office, at midday just you and your man, and then going for lunch at Chiltern Fire House what would you wear? (In November)....

I did wonder about trouser suit but I almost never wear trousers outside of jeans/leggings-think it calls for a dress of some sort but I want to avoid 50's/tea dress/that sort of caper...

What height and shape and colouring are you? What styles do you love that are a bit more flamboyant or stated than you normally wear but you would if you could? Any designers you love?

Firstly - @warofthemonstertrucks - Congratulations! Whatever you end up wearing just make sure you're comfortable in it.

Next - @Bunny2021 - You have fantastic taste in clothes! I love, love, love the Halston dresses you linked to. If I had the figure of the model wearing them, I'd wear them to Aldi to do the shopping (because I'd want to show off the dress and my figure). Unfortunately, I don't so I won't be doing that but they are STUNNING!!!!!!!!!

I love the first one that Bunny linked to with all the sequins. Very classy and perfect for November with a warm coat over it.

If you want something that you can wear again, and you have the figure for it, I'd go for something like this (again with a quality camel colour coat for over it and the right accessories):

I realise it's not as expensive as some of the others but it does lend itself to be worn again as separates.

I was eyeing up the Ralph Lauren one earlier. I love it from the front but not sure about from the back.

I love that Emily wicksstead one but too spendy. Budget about 500 quid.

I'm a size 12, bit of a tum but nothing a good knicker doesn't sort out.

In my head I had lace dress under leather jacket sort of vibe (but that might have been done to death) and having seen some of these I'm thinking something a bit smarter and more elegant perhaps .

How exciting, love this kind of wedding (having done fairly similar not long ago)!

Just make sure you're happy and comfortable in whatever you choose because that shines through!

The Halston one is amazing.
And the Rime Arodaky (which is actually ideal but too expensive. We are going to have a party early next year however which I could also wear that too so maybe I could
Justify it Grin

Chummy married in a Hardy Amies tweed because she didn't 'qualify' for white.
There are nice ones around.
