Shall I cut up my old Ugg tall boots to make ankle boots/slippers?

They are really a bit too tight around the calf these days, even turned over at the top.
Inspired by another thread, I was just looking at ultra mini Uggs, when it suddenly occurred to me, I could cut the old ones down. I'd only wear them in the house as slippers.
What could go wrong?

I recently watched YouTube videos about this and am considering. My are calf height and I've never liked it or the rolled down look. But I'm scared they'll look bad. If you do it please post pics to encourage me!

There were loads of tutorials online last year about making them into minis.
