Something warm to go with this dress?

I’m going to a smart family birthday lunch next weekend and will be wearing this red polka dot dress from Forever New. I will have a navy wool coat over it to get there/back but think I might need something to keep me warm later in the day. I don’t own any cardigans. Do I need to get one and if so what colour or is there another way? I do have an ivory pashmina from my wedding I could dig out…

That’s a lovely dress. Where is the lunch being held? I’d assume they will have heating. I wouldn’t ruin the dress with a cardigan- if you tend to run cold you could put a thin vest top underneath, but with a wool coat for going to and fro I think you will be fine.
