Any nurses here that have gone into the aesthetics industry?

My best friend is a band 7 nurse, has been qualified almost 20 years, she also has her prescribing qualification and is considering training in aesthetics as she is finding the shift work in hospital increasingly difficult to work around her children since her marriage ended last year.

She doesn’t have the money to invest in training/setting up on her own but I do. I also work in healthcare but not a nurse, I’m not interested in becoming an aesthetician but would happily run the business/admin side of things - I have run my own business previously so I do have some experience.

Apart from having Botox and fillers myself, I obviously know nothing about what setting it up/running it would entail. The lady who does my fillers etc has a training academy so I’m planning to speak to her in depth at my next appointment but if anyone here has already done this I would love some advice, pros/cons the lot!

I personally think now would not be a great time to enter into this as with the increasing costs of living, beauty treatments are likely to be the first thing people cut back on. However, I am finding myself quite interested in finding out more about what is, in all probability, a pipe dream!
