Chelsea boots for narrow feet

Just that really!

I’ve tried on a few pairs but my heel slips badly and they all crease at the front. I’d prefer a fairly clumpy style- I really liked the M&S ones (think they were £69) but couldn’t keep them on my feet.

Budget £150 max

Thanks 😊

How narrow? If an AA or B James Inglis do boots for that width. They are expensive but there are some pairs within your budget.

How narrow? I wear wellie socks or similar with some boots and that does the trick

Joules seem to come up narrow, I returned a pair a while ago as they were too narrow and the reviews all said the same

I don’t know what width they’d be classified as. I’ll have a look online at how to measure.

They are borderline high-street acceptable, I usually can buy from normal brands as long as I choose a lace up style. But I find lace up
boots don’t last that long as I pull the laces so tightly that it over-strains the side of the boot. Plus I’d really like a clumpy Chelsea boot!

Those Dune ones are lovely @Turnedacorner Have they lasted well so far?

RM Williams

You may find a second hand pair for that money

@Ahm987 I've only just got them so can't comment on how they'll wear or last. All I can say is that I really struggle with all shoes, down to having very narrow feet, and these boots feel great. My feet aren't swimming around and the heels aren't slipping. I must've tried on 20 different pairs of boots before I found these ones.

@Blossomandbee thanks. I like the Racquel ones on the joules website. That’s good to know that they are considered to be narrow. I wish they had a ‘check stock in store’ feature so I could see if they had them in my nearest store, potentially save me ordering them online!

@littlelandlord7 thanks, they look beautiful but definitely out of my price range!

@Turnedacorner I sympathise! I have made so many poor choices of boots in the past, hoping they will be ok, and they are really not!

As well James Ingles, have a look at Special Feetures- they specialise in narrow fitting as well. Got some from them a couple of years ago.
I've also got some from M&S a while ago- they fit with socks and inner soles. There were loads in the end of season sales, so I guess they might have been too narrow for the rest of the population.

Have a look at Fly. I've got narrow feet and don't have a problem with their boots.

I've got narrow feet (though they are getting a bit wider with age/gravity and lockdown helped!) and think these are narrow fitting.

just coming on in sympathy as I have similar issues

my feet are average width, but it’s the narrow heel and the depth of my foot that’s the problem. I usually end up with lace ups. The heel has to hug my foot. Sorry I can’t be of more help

Mostly if I wear Chelsea boots my socks fall down

Some great recommendations thanks everyone!

@Thighdentitycrisis yes, this is my problem too and I normally solve it by only wearing lace-up boots. I would really like Chelsea boots though 😢.

I have a pair of Joules Chelmsford boots, and they come up narrow. Not sure if they sell them. The Westbourne look quite similar, but aren't chunky

Or there's these that look quite chunky, though not sure on the sizing

Racquel Chelsea Chunky Boots

I also had my eye on these ones too before I bought the Joules ones

Jones Bootmaker

My last chunky Chelsea boots I had, which lasted years and are also quite narrow were my DM's. But you do need to size up, as they come up quite small

Also just to add (if it's relevant) my Dr. Marten's passed the ice test. Last year we went through a spell of really bad black ice (I live in Edinburgh) and I have to say, I was very impressed with the sturdiness and none slippage of them. I have dodgy knees so have to be a extra careful. But they were brilliant, and kept my feet nice and toasty, no faffing about with extra thick socks. Any odd ones will suffice

Thanks @bippityboppity87 , someone else recommended the Joules Chelmsford boots. They are not available any more, but I’m intending to try the Racquel ones as I like them too.

I’ve been a bit put off Dr. Marten’s as I had a lace up pair a couple of years ago which split within a few months. I think it may have been because I laced them up more tightly than for the average foot 🫤. I do like those lined ones though, and also live in icy Scotland 😄.
