Best concealer for facial scarring

Hi,

I had a fall recently , split my upper lip, backed my eye and scraped my face badly. Although I've healed (and was extremely lucky not to have done worse damage!) it looks like the skin above my lip has scarred. It's only been a few weeks so could improve but I have a big family wedding in two weeks time and am looking for a reliable concealer, preferably something designed to cover scarring, birth marks etc. so I don't feel self-conscious on the day.

Can anyone recommend a brand which stays put all day? At the minute I'm just wearing a bit of ordinary foundation from a sample I was given a year ago! It's fine at first but after an hour the scar shows through. I don't normally wear full face foundation, just occasional concealer under my eyes. I've heard of Veil. Is it any good?

You can buy a sample kit of veil to ensure good colour matching

Watching with interest as I've surgery on my face that left scarring. Ordinary concealer seems to draw attention to it rather than the opposite.

Thin Lizzy, an Australian company do an excellent concealer designed to cover scars, birthmarks, bruises, etc. I used it to cover marionette bruising after periodontic work. It is very good.
