Recommend me your nighties!

Cold house so I need a proper nightie not any of your silky, strapy mini slips nonsense.

Growing up, I had a full length quilted nightie with puffy full length sleeves and buttons at the neck so it could go over your head. I loved that because I could sit crossed legs and it was so voluminous it would still cover my legs. So I want a pretty version of that but cotton and preferably less flammable. If I could put the bins out in it, even better.

Does such a thing exist?

Whenever I re-watch Downton I start yearning for beautiful white cotton nightdresses!

This post made me smile, my mil (she didn't approve of me) gave me the most awful old fashioned full length 'sizzors needed for a shag' nightie the first Christmas after we got got married, my husbands face when I danced around the house in it Christmas eve while refusing to take it off was hilarious, I wore it for the three hour drive to my parents, they thought it was great fun, husband has mellowed out and got used to us (mil still disapproves).

@Doggydarling oh yes, the one I'm after will definately act as a husband repellant. It will perfectly match my warm and practical granny slippers.
