It's a very dainty dress so doesn't need statement jewellery but I think I'd stick to silver..... Or pearls if you have them.

Sorry to derail but I was coming to ask about gold v silver jewellery. Does anyone have any rules? I know it used to be said that over a certain age you have to wear gold but I'm sure that's a load of rubbish in Mumsnet eyes.

I tend to wear silver. I think I'm on the cusp of autumn/winter season but generally like to emphasise my winter season. Also, I'm not really in the market for spending tonnes on jewellery (cos I'd lose it) but does cheaper gold look crappy? Whereas silver not so much?

It’s a lovely dress and well shown on a model it fits properly. I also like the fact it clearly shows the back. I have looked at several things of late where several images are shown but you can’t see what the back looks like.
