What appliance to get hair like this?

Hi all,

I currently have medium-long hair and fancy having it a bit shorter (like the pics below). I really like the waves, does anyone know how to achieve this? I've used one of the wavy hair appliances (babyliss), standard barrel curling tongs and wider tongs but it never looks like this!

Hair straighteners are what you need

I was going to say wider tongs but you've already tried those. Maybe some kind of wave crimper.

The hairdresser uses straighteners to get this effect on my hair.

I use straighteners to do it, following videos on YouTube. A lot of it is to do with the type and condition of your hair though.
