I don't know the etiquette of starting a runover of someone else's thread. I hope this is OK.

Reminder advent22 gives a hand-wash and handcream free gift on space nk.

I bought it, but now I have alight regret. I should have held out to see what harrods had.

The CEO cream wasn't 5oz as had been trailed on many calendar sites, but 0.5oz, 15ml. 5oz would have been a ridiculous size so that makes sense.

Fascinating that none of the big calendars have sold out. I think retailers might be in for a bit of a shock this winter.

I wonder whether with CB it's down do the change in management. They gave us the release date this year, which they don't normally.

Look fantastic never sells out quickly, so they must produce a lot. I wonder whether they've done the same with CB

I'm surprised that JL is still in stock. Maybe they produced more due to high demand last year.

I've seen on social media that a lot of people haven't received their LF calendars even if they pre ordered, so be interesting to see if/when it arrives! They haven't taken any money out yet which is good at least.

Really? It's possible that I may have had an idea last year, but definitely not the first year I bought it. I remember just getting a random email and making the snap decision to buy.

Maybe it's because I wasn't on this thread with the ladies in the know... 😂

Hopefully it won't be a repeat of the 2019 debacle when loads of people either never got them or they arrived late. I got mine on December 14th.

That said, they refunded my money and gave me another €105 in credit (€55 for the delay, and so I did quite well out of it in the end. They were so disorganised the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing

I’ve just received my John Lewis calendar and the candle jar is cracked 😢 will have to contact them and hope they can send a replacement.

LF are usually good - can only think calendars create a massive seasonal rush that's really hard to cope with.

Harvey Nicks sold out pretty quickly - guess bcs it was a bit different. A restock is on the way tho .. (sits on hands)

I won't buy anything from Look fantastic after their dreadful customer service two years ago. I ordered their Christmas chest. One item was damaged and it took me two months to get an acceptable solution. I had to quote my legal rights on Instagram and Twitter several times.

I was dreading CB going the same way as LF after they got taken over by The Hut Group but thankfully they seem to be ok so far...

I messaged LF and they said that the calendars were currently being filled and due to the number couldn't confirm dispatch dates. Seems odd seen as though they were advertised as in stock ready for dispatch on the website.

I wonder if this delay explains the feel unique delay? It's much later than normal. I presume they use the same infrastructure.

My JL calender turned up today in a slightly damaged box. Opened it to check everything was OK to find a really strong perfume smell and small bits of glass under the doors when I opened them! Checked the drawers and luckily everything is OK but it certainly had me worried for a second. Now just need to resist until Dec!

@Heysnuggee oh dear, I hope we're not in for a repeat of LF a few years ago! That whole saga sticks with me, I don't think I'd ever order from them now.

@MostDefinitelynotanAthlete That's a shame and sounds a bit dangerous! Is it bad enough to consider contacting Customer Services for a replacement? I think I would be.

Oh dear, I had decided to get M&S as there are two things in it I want to buy anyway and lots of things I'm not particularly excited about, but will use. But now I'm very tempted by John Lewis and I've just found there's still a code for £10 off...
But if I buy it I'll want M&S as well! For the first time ever I've bought DH an advent calendar - he finally gets one, and I go up to two! 😂
