Can a winter change to a summer with hair dye?

Mu natural hair is dark brown with no warmth, and I’ve got blue eyes and pale ish skin, however as I’ve got older brown dye was ageing me and I hated grey roots.
I started to get balayage 2 years ago to lighten it up (and try to look less haggard) and now it’s gone fairly light. I do like it but I think it’s changed my overall colouring- can this happen or have I imagined it?
pic attached- please excuse bad hair / just got drenched and dried out!

I was told not. I have bright purple hair (over dark brown) and was told your skin tone and eye colour dictate your season. Mine wouldn’t change if I switched back to dark brown from the purple.

However, the purple does mean there are colours in my season palette that I never wear, eg pillar box red. If your hair colour is in your colour palette it will do the same thing as wearing the right shade near your face.

I was told winters should highlight hair are putting summer round their face so essentially yes you are softening and lightening the colours that will look best naturally I think.

Not should! Sorry, winters that do!

Thanks, sorry I don’t know why My picture hasn’t attached.
Now I still have contrast between lighter hair and blue eyes, but not as much contrast as before when I had much darker hair all over.
