My Grenson Nanettes are so uncomfortable!

I have the sort of coated/rubberised leather type. They are so beautiful, and I don't think they are too small, but if I walk in them for any length of time the balls of my feet burn horrifically. No other shoes or boots I own causes this particular problem, even the ones that are on the small side. I've worn them on a couple of occasions somewhere that involved a lot of walking, thinking I'd finally broken them in, but nope. Misery after the first half an hour or so.

Size-wise they are ok with thickish socks but if I try to put something like a gel insole in they do feel too tight.

I bought them from Outnet so fairly sure they're genuine - they do seem beautifully made and the leather smells gorgeous.

Help - I love them so much but they hate me and make my feet so sad Sad

Can have link to see what you mean please

I have narrow feet yet mine felt really tight when new. I started lacing them much looser and that helped, but even so I wouldn't want to be in them for a long day walking around.

This is them, or very similar

I have the vegan Nanettes and they’re really comfy for me.
Would you sell them? It sounds like they might not get more comfy, and you’d probably get a good amount back of what you’d spent especially if you got them discounted on Outnet.

I've tried a few versions of nanettes and not got on with them. I haven't pursued it as far as you have and i would probably give up. But if you like then so much then could they just be worn for shorter less active occasions?

I love mine- super comfy and light.
BUT weirdly I have a pair of Nike trainers that are super comfy to begin then give me TERRIBLE burning arches and I just can't wear them.

What size and colour/ model are your Nanettes? You could easily sell them.

This is what I've resorted to. Or places where I'll be sitting down a lot!

I really really don't want to sell them, I love them so much. Bastarding things.

I wonder if a cobbler could do anything. Like stretch them a bit so I could put a gel insole in.

Are they too tight across the top which is putting pressure onto the soles of the feet? - Is there enough space to loosen them at the top?

notwavingbutdrowning1 · 21/09/2022 20:45

You could contact Grenson for advice. No need to tell them you bought them on the Outnet. When I asked them for fit advice (on Grensons I also bought from the Outnet), they were very helpful.

notwavingbutdrowning1 · 21/09/2022 20:46

They will definitely be genuine from the Outnet.

I have a pair of solovair shoes, not boots my size but we're uncomfortable. I bought cheap wooden shoe stretcher things from amazon and left them in sunny spots for a couple of days. They were perfect after that. Can you try something similar?
