What colour tights do I need?

Off to a wedding on Saturday. Dress is very dark green kneelength with black and silver accessories and black shoes. What colour tights - black or flesh-coloured? I know I should know this, but I live in black opaques and even I know that's not right with a cocktail dress.
And I have a choice of two necklaces - a Victorian pearl and amethyst one that DH gave me as a wedding present - loads of big pear shaped amethyst drops strung together with pearls or a quite blingy 1950s diamante one.
Why am I so indecisive?

dress with black OR silver accessories. if black black tights. if silver fleshy tights.

Oh cripes, don't tell me I am doing the accessories wrong. Have got - black shoes, black and silver bag, silver wrap - no decision on necklace and blimey I suppose I should wear earrings too, haven't worn any in so long the holes have probably closed up.
I need the style police to sort me out.

If its black shoes I would say black tights. Don't go too summery with your accessories, its still freezing! I think the chunky necklace sounds best. Is the dress sleeveless?

Black opaques are very 'in' no matter what you are wearing them with. I'm not a fan of flesh coloureds, so if you really feel black tights are not right....its fake tan time!!

well actually black opaques are quite trendy especially with a party dress.

I reckon if the dress is quite simple quite short and shows a certain amount of flesh - bare arms? low neckline? then opaques would work. If on the other hand, its voluminous and covers up alot you should then show a bit of bare leg (or very fine denier-covered leg!)

Personally I prefer EITHER earrings OR necklace but not usually both.
