DIY beauty advent calendar: what would you put in yours?

In an effort to reduce plastic waste and because I still have stuff hanging around from my last two years of advent calendars (John Lewis and Cult Beauty, loved the Cult Beauty one), I'm planning to refill last year's boxes with stuff I like and will use regularly or want to try.

I've got some ideas, but tell me, what would you put in yours?

I rarely wear makeup so there’s not much in my choice
Elizabeth Arden lip protector, the one in a small round tin
Hand cream, I had a solid one in a tin which was nice and is good if you want to cut down on plastic
mascara
Benefit lip tint
A couple of serums, Estée Lauder mini and maybe a Lancôme
decent nail file
I use Elemis skincare usually so probably a few bits from them that I’ve not tried before
Sheet masks

I've already done mine with last years Fortnums box, and it's stashed in the bottom of the wardrobe.

I've put in some bits lying about from GWPs and a couple from last years' advent calendars, but I bought a few things new that I like and will use; eyelash serum, Olaplex 3, some Essie base and top coat and so on. No perfume or retinol stuff (I use Skin & Me already and I have tons of perfume).

I also have a couple of drawers with sweets or chocolate, and one with a book. One thing I would recommend doing is measuring the drawers - I bought a couple of things only to find that they wouldn't fit and just had to keep them 😁

Thats a great idea. I've been buying samples off ebay to make cheap ones for my DSD. Lots of charlotte tilbury.

@SocksAndTheCity Good shout with the measuring!

We need to remind our younger generation " True beauty has nothing to do with looks" and stop the manipulation from the multi million beauty industry who prey on peoples insecurities.

Candle
l’occitane hand cream
bath oil
lip oil (Dior of Clarins)
sparkly eyeshadow (Bobbi Brown)

I’d also put a few other items in- a bauble/chocs

Some great ideas here, and I'm impressed that some of you are organised enough to have done this already.

@SocksAndTheCity great shout with measuring. I'm going to have to check what I've bought now!

@YorkieTheRabbit what brand is the hand cream in a tin? I have such dry hands, I'm always after hand cream suggestions

@pullshapes I got it from The Edinburgh Natural Skincare Co. They do a few different ones and are currently on offer
