Hi, my hair is really dry, due to bleaching and being in a ponytail. It was down my back. I just had it cut to shoulder length today.

However my hairdresser thinks I should have a keratin appointment (£150) to improve the condition. I think its really expensive.

Can you recommend any other options?

I have dry hair with bleached highlights. I use Bleach London Reincarnation mask. It's the best I've found.

I have really weak hair with full head highlights. It gets really dry and breaks easily. The best I’ve found is Olaplex no. 3 which is a pre-shampoo treatment. It leaves my hair softer and stronger. I don’t seem to find the time to leave it any longer than the minimum 10-20 minutes, but some people sleep with it in and wash off in the morning, which I think gives a better result.

My daughter's hair was like this and we slathered it with coconut oil (not the roots) and she sat with it on for about an hour or so. Rinsed it out and her hair was back to normal. Just don't rinse in the tub (or do so with care) as it can become very slippery.

Coconut or olive oil left overnight and washed out next day is what idol with my below elbow, very thick coarse dry hair

Olaplex has made a big difference to my hair but I don't use the home stuff; I pay an extra £20 or so when I have my balayage done and they mix it into the colour. If your hair is very heavily bleached and processed then it is probably breaking rather than just dry. Coconut oil isn't going to do much for you.

An Olaplex treatment mixed into a toner will probably be cheaper than a keratin treatment.

I work olive oil into my hair & scalp, applying more on the ends. Microwave a damp towel till steamy, then wrap my head for about 20 minutes. After washing and blow drying my hair is like glass. 😎👍

I love L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths Long Damaged Hair Shampoo and Conditioner. It has Keratin in. It feels lovely going on ( it’s a cream texture) and after I have washed my hair, it is so each to brush and style. No tangles

Umberto Gianni 60 second curls mask works wonders for mine.

L’Oréal elvive miracle oil is very effective!!
