Is there an X painted on your front door?

Boco · 23/01/2008 16:01

Oh i thought that said 'why am I so sporty', so now i'm seeing deep pan hawaiian in a tracksuit, jogging on the spot with bewilderment.

You need to bathe in toothpaste? Are you gorging yourself with chocolate? Are you singing r&b on the back of the bus and snogging school boys? I don't know I really want to help.

policywonk · 23/01/2008 16:02

I'm hoping my late-onset acne is to do with lack of Vit D and will resolve itself come spring.

Mashanapedyjo · 23/01/2008 16:02

I used some of that um loreal (I think) stuff that has a face scrub and then a thing you leave on overnight when I had bad skin and it worked really well.

Hang on thats a rubbish description I will look for a link.

SheikYerbouti · 23/01/2008 16:06

I didn't have a single spot all through my teens, then when I turned 25 suddenly became horribly spotty. I still keep them at bay. Things that worked -

Yasmin (contraceptive pill)
Duac Daily Gel (from doctor)
Benzoyl Peroxide gel (from chemist over counter)
Tea Tree Oil
Long courses of antibiotics (cleared the acne, but screwed up my immune system, so I'm not sure I can really recommend it)
Sunbed (not enough to get a tan - just 5 mins every couple of weeks as my spots are far worse in winter. Yes, there are risks of course.)

Best cover up I've found is Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, but if your spot is getting even slightly flakey best not to apply anything at all, it only makes it look worse...

Oh how I sympathise.

It was this stuff

Stopped using it when I got pg and havent used it again since as skin has been ok while bfing but it was very good.

Saying that I'm a bit spotty too atm so could well be the weather. Or it could be because last week I was thinking how good my skin had been lately

SheikYerbouti · 23/01/2008 18:00

Will itm work before sat, or will I have to bag my face?

OP posts:
Celery · 23/01/2008 18:03

2oz water
3oz cider vinegar
3tbs honey
3oz ground almonds

mix it all up and keep in a lidded container in the bathroom. rub it into your face twice a day and rinse with water. It stinks, it's messy, but it works. honest.

SheikYerbouti · 23/01/2008 18:04

I will try anything short of burning the spots off with a lighter

OP posts:
burstingbug · 23/01/2008 18:12

No honey in the cupboard, something tells me that golden syrup wont have the same effect

HuwEdwards · 23/01/2008 18:18
