I’ve just had highlights done on my dark blonde hair (no bleach involved in case that’s relevant) and I’m wondering what shampoo and conditioner I should use to look after it. The hairdresser said my normal products (tresemme/garnier) will damage my hair and tried to sell me the expensive salon stuff. Do I really need to by special shampoo/conditioner? Or is this a myth? If so what kind? Hair is shoulder length and in good condition otherwise (and I only rarely straighten it). Google not very helpful as full of adds and conflicting advice.
