Can anyone help me with my skin?

I’ve had acne and problem skin since my teens, very oily and sensitive too.

Lately my skin is full of tiny blackheads, white heads and spots. Like a rash of them. As a plus I don’t get the huge pimples over forty, but I’d like to even this out. Has anyone had this issue and improved it. I’m otherwise a healthy weight, no health issues, gut issues. I don’t wear make up.

thank you

Soolantra and Finacea helped hugely with mine. They are both on prescription.

niaciamide & zinc

plus double cleansing mornings and night has improved mine massively.

  • Wear sunscreen every day. Broad spectrum, factor 50. There is almost no skin condition this doesn’t help.
  • Double cleanse (oil based cleanser followed by a water based cleanser) every night.
  • Tretinoin and niacinamide are probably the right actives for your condition. Try Dermatica, get a prescription and see how that goes. Warning, tret takes a while to work (months, bit weeks) and your skin may get worse before it gets better.
  • People with oily skin often think they don’t moisturise. This is incorrect as sebum is not moisturise and is often a sign your skin is dehydrated. You need to moisturise AM and PM. I recommend hyalauronic acid, which you can get super cheap from the ordinary. A few drops on wet skin (never dry as that’ll dry your skin out, wetter than damp) after cleansing, let it sink in for a few minutes, even follow with a decent moisturiser and few drops of squalane oil (weigh you can also get from the ordinary). Cosrx snail mucin is also pretty great.

But, honestly, if you do any one single thing from all that, let it be the daily sunscreen. I can’t stress it enough.

I would try Dermatica. I started with it in January for type 2 rosacea. I had constant congested spotty skin on my chin and also very red. My skin is now in the range of normal and I wish I had found it years ago as I have suffered for about 30 years. As I am getting a bit older I wanted to try the anti ageing treatment but they replied that I needed the rosacea so I was pleased they just don't prescribe anything. I have a code you could try and it's very easy to delay or cancel your subscription www.dermatica.co.uk/referrer/3LW935

Roaccutane was my lifesaver in my forties , I had seriously oil acne skin and taking this completely cleared it.

Thank you, I’ve put together some of these ideas and seen some good improvement.
I’m double cleansing, which certainly helps.
Ive got a night cream with Niacinamide and a lighter day moisturiser with hyaluronic acid. My skin smoother and less irritated, with light make up it looks totally clear (I don’t usually wear but did on a night out).
I haven’t tried medication as my body so so sensitive to things, I get any side effect possible from mood swings, to weight gain to dry gums I find.
I prefer hats to sunscreen, I’ve never found one that doesn’t clog my pores instantly
