Ruined my hair

I’ve been growing my grey out for 5 months and it was looking pretty good, unbelievably thick and healthy, natural high and lowlights. Being an impatient nightmare I decided to put a platinum lightener on it to ‘help it on its way’. Well, it went yellow and orange. After the initial panic attack and tears I discovered I couldn’t get a salon appointment for a week meaning wearing baseball caps and hoods, not going out in public and feeling embarrassed at my own stupidity. Today it has cost me £126 to have a professional rescue me.

Please, people, learn from my mistake!!

Of course it went yellow and orange. That's what bleach/lighteners do. 😂

You should have left it on longer to lift it to a pale yellow, then tone it.

You'll still have to keep toning it every few washes, unless the hairdresser put a darker tint on it.

Try using something like Fanola or Osmo purple shampoos.
