Recommend a powerful but lightweight hairdryer please!

I had a Parlux hairdryer but after 12 years it has died. Although I loved it I'm hoping to replace it with something lighter. I don't want to compromise on power though! Can anyone recommend a good lightweight hairdryer? Bonus points if it doesn't break the bank either!

The Dyson one is light, quiet and works really quickly PLUS leaves my hair shinier. It is, however, bank-breakingly expensive!

Another Parlux - there are so many models.

I have a T3 fit compact - lightweight and very powerful!

The Parlux Alyon is lighter & just as powerful - I recently bought one. Actually here's a chart:

Much as I'd love to try the Dyson, it's definitely out of my budget!

Thanks for the chart @BlackSwan that's really useful.

on another note, I've just seen that Parlux do an attachment called a 'melody silencer' which significantly reduces the noise! That's clever! adds to Christmas list

I had a Parlux with the silencer before. It muffles the noise somewhat but don't be too optimistic that it quietens it significantly.
