Bikini wax...does it hurts?

Thinking of getting a bikini wax for my holiday. How much does it hurt?

I've had it done twice now and although it is painful, it is bearable and for me it is definitely worth it as I get a rash from shaving when in sun and pool.

I would rather the short term pain/stinging from waxing than the rash from shaving. Stays smooth for ages.
Wish I'd done in years ago when going away.

Look for somewhere with good reviews. Take an ibuprofen 30 mins before. Wear a floaty dress or skirt and go commando for 24 hours to avoid any friction in that area.

I had it done once with a bad hangover and forgot to take painkillers beforehand. I nearly threw up. Without those two factors it was painful but bearable.

You dont have to answer the question if you find it pointless. You can just scroll on by...

Ok then! That's me told!

It is no crime to choose a different style of bikini bottoms if you think you would find it too painful.

I have only ever had a "tidy up" to remove the bloody hair from my "bikini line" which actually spreads all over the shop; although once they went in a bit more to create a "landing strip" only a thicker version. Never had flaps or above done shudder.

And I forgot to say I find it really bloody painful. Although apparently I have quite thick hair and more than one hair per follicle or something? some women might have more sparse, fine hair and don't feel it so much?
