How should I have my hair (pics)

I have a hairdressing appointment this week, finally, after denying myself all luxuries for what seems like months.
I hate my hair at the moment, it always looks a mess and I prefer to his it in hats at the moment. Although my daughter assures me my hair fine, but I want a tidy up. I also want something that will last a while, since I anticipate that with the COL, I won't be going again for a while.
I have two pics, one with my hair tied up, and the other with how my hair usually is when down.

You have lovely hair - I’d just get a good trim!

yasminisa · 04/09/2022 12:39

My hair is naturally wavy, I follow CG method, loosely.
It currently has a very outgrown and brassy balayage on it. And I have white roots.
I don't want to grow out the grey, or anything, it doesn't suit me.
I would be very grateful for any ideas. I can't think of anything
Oh, and I don't like having to spend hours styling, as you can probably see

I agree you have lovely hair, very envious! I would bring it to shoulder length if it is not too unmanageable for you, and get a root tint in your natural colour, and slightly blend in the balayage so it is more uniform.

😂😂😂😂😂 Your hair is fab down - just get some root tint to cover the grey at a salon and a trim for health.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 04/09/2022 16:07

I agree, it's lovely. If you want a change though, what about a shoulder-length shag (Blush) with a fringe?

I can't get any Pinterest links to work, but there's loads of lovely ones on there.

VanillaIce1 · 04/09/2022 16:09

I'm so glad it's not just me who has drawers of doom 😂. Your hair is similar to mine I'm stuck on what to do. I want a nice cut to bring it shoulder length and a root smudge but it's so much upkeep isn't it!

SirChenjins · 04/09/2022 16:15

Bloody hell - you’re gorgeous OP, how can you hate your hair?! I’d go for a trim to bring it up a bit, a bit of shaping around your face with some long choppy layers and an all over tint, but I wouldn’t do much more.

Your room , on the other hand…Grin

Bottomofthepileasusual · 04/09/2022 16:19

Your hair is stunning.

IrmaGord · 04/09/2022 16:26

Yes, your hair is lovely OP. I especially like the lightened ends, which is something I've been trying to do at home myself and failing miserably.

If I was you, I'd maybe just get a bit of a trim at the hairdressers.

That is what I would suggest too.

mondaytosunday · 04/09/2022 16:53

I can't seem to post the pics I have but I'd go for a layered bob or a layered look just past your shoulders.

NiqueNique · 04/09/2022 16:54

I’d go slightly shorter than shoulder length so I guess it’d be a lob? I think a messy lob would look great with your hair type which is fab, and it’s different enough from what you’ve got now.

Sandysandwich · 04/09/2022 17:04

You have brilliant hair, with it being wavy, I would go for a 'lob' maybe slightly gradiated

I'd have a simple trim and treat myself to a conditioning treatment at the salon.
You look great.

applecharlotte12 · 04/09/2022 17:08

Your hair is amazing, it looks gorgeous down. I'm very jealous as the owner of fine, flat hair!

AlwaysGinPlease · 04/09/2022 17:10

Have to say you're beautiful and you have lovely hair! Just a trim from me!

CambsAlways · 04/09/2022 17:12

Very attractive lady I’d just have a trim

Mosaic123 · 04/09/2022 17:18

Also, to disguise the grey try Colour Wow Root Cover Up in an appropriate colour. It's like an eye shadow for your hair and covers grey roots beautifully.

Ridiculously easy to put on with the brush that comes with it and lasts till you wash it out.

You could even try using an eyeshadow instead if you have the right colour.

Look at YouTube for the ideal instructions.

It's not cheap but lasts for ever.

autocollantes · 04/09/2022 19:48

I think you'd suit loads of hairstyles but because you're looking for one to last longer due to COL I'd go for a trim and colour touch up, as others have said, avoiding any kind of bob or fringe - although you'd definitely suit both and much more besides!

chilliesandspices · 04/09/2022 20:31

You have beautiful thick hair. I'd get a trim for health but not go any shorter (when I shortened my hair it took much more styling to avoid the triangle bob look). A dark balayage would give it great depth.

Superbabe64 · 04/09/2022 21:44

Your hair is lovely. I wouldn't go much shorter and would only get a bit of layering to take some of the weight out. Just make sure layers not too short so you can still tie back when you want to. Colour wise I would maybe get some low lights to tie in the growing out baliage and then just get roots done when there are too many greys showing.

abovedecknotbelow · 04/09/2022 21:48

Your hair is fab, just get a trim.

IvorCutler · 05/09/2022 10:47

I agree your hair is really lovely and I think a trim is all you need! Even the grown out balayage looks good. The goldy highlights really suit you.

shinyhappybananaboat · 05/09/2022 10:53

This would be beautiful on you @yasminisa
