Races (in the rain) outfit

[Catquestion]

I’m going to the races next week and the forecast isn’t looking amazing. I’ve got lots of outfit choices for summer race meets but nothing suitable for less than amazing weather.

I’m 5 ft 4 and size 8….have some boobs but otherwise I’m pretty straight up and down. I usually wear dresses but I’m open to trousers. I think the main thing I struggle with are jackets - I’m terrible at knowing what goes with what!

please help!!

Are you going in a posh bit?

Bright trouser suit and umbrella. Closed toe shoes. This is a go anywhere outfit.

The important bit is: are you outside or inside? Boozy area or dining in a box? Where? I’m a racegoer and have been to many racecourses!!

It’s Chester….county stand I think- so outside and not overly posh. It’s a networking thing with people I don’t know very well so want to make a good impression.

Any suggestions for where to get a bright trouser suit? I really am pretty useless at this!
