Can I get away with wearing these ott shoes to a work event?

I have been last minute invited to a work trip across the country with a client next week. The one upside to maybe getting away with these shoes is that I work for a creative company...

Since covid I work from home and in the office where I almost exclusively wear different colours of smart trainers (like black or white flipflops). So comfy.

But because it is a corporate event I feel I need to dress up, so I'm wearing a pink and green dress and mint green blazer. I went into multiple shoe shops at the weekend but nothing fitted.

Can I get away with wearing these or is it totally OTT? I usually wear them on nights out only...

Absolutely yes, go for it. Wearing quirky shoes does not affect your performance at work! Ps I love them and would wear them to work anyway - and I don’t work in a creative industry!

I don't think they are nearly as OTT as you seem to think, or maybe I'm OTT in general.... Are they Irregular Choice boots? I'm Civil Service and would wear these without batting an eyelid.

People would wear them on an average Tuesday in my office. Go for it.

Ok well I'm glad to see people think this is completely fine. And like people have said it probably helps I'm in a creative industry.
