Good quality plain tees

I’ll start by saying I’m not a big follower of fashion and have no real style, I lost my way a long time ago. But I have realised I look tidier and better put together if I avoid patterns and just accessorise better.

Do any of you have any recommendations for good quality plain t-shirts that I can fill my wardrobe with? I’m fed up with buying cheap things that either don’t wash or wear very well. I like them fitted but not tight and am definitely not a fan of the boxy sort of look I keep seeing in shops, I have a large-ish chest but an ok waistline so anything too baggy makes me look enormous.

Thanks.

Whoops posted too soon while I was looking for a sad face emoji, Sorry @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads I know Kettlewell do a long line vest top as I ordered by accident and could have worn it as a dress!

I also like Landsend, although i wouldn't buy at full price as there is always some offer or other, keep an eye out for t-shirts coming into the sale.

I'm getting so many offer emails from Landsend that I'm wondering if they are at the point of going under!

Oh thank you, so many suggestions! I would never have thought of a lot of these places. To the poster who asked, I was just thinking crew neck, I hadn’t even thought of boat neck despite my favourite old t shirt being a boat neck.

Once I’ve had a good look through all your suggestions, next on my list will be bras to go under them.

Ditto and unless desperate for something specific I won't ever pay full price. That said, everything I've had from there has been really good quality

That is useful to know!!!!! They must have taken on feedback that the tops I ordered years ago barely reached my navel.

Rapanui
Howies
Bam - good stretch

all ethical

High street surprise - Next. Their £7.50 cap sleeved t shirt ticks all my boxes, including being long enough. I have it in 6 colours, and a couple of long sleeved versions. The original has had a couple of years of pretty frequent wash n wear (I love the colour) and is going strong.

I second the Next £7.50 cap sleeve t shirts. I ahead to get some t shirts on holiday and Next was the closest shop - I always thought they were poor quality, not having been into Next for years. I've been pleasantly surprised at the silkiness of the fabric and the way they've washed and kept their shape. They are very generous sizes. Mine are size 6 while I'm a 10 or 8 elsewhere.

Uniqlo are good too.

The next cap sleeve T-shirt is lovely
