Or at least coordinates please.

Everything i own either doesn't fit me or i don't like and it drives me nuts, even my bras .
I don't like to feel i am wearing a bra so just guess the size but i know they are wrong.

Most of my tops are baggish ,i would hate to sit and have people be able to see my spare tyres.

Trousers are a nightmare especially ,i have to buy a 14 due to fairly wide hips but the waist ends up enourmous and people say ooh your jeans are too big.

Shoes also a problem because i cannot and would not wear heels as would look ridiculous.

Yes broke at the moment but will come in useful for when i win the lottery

Has been over 12 months since i last bought trousers.

I never ever wear skirts,i do not do them.

I am 6 ft 2 size 12/14

Bump!

Have you found one shop where the clothes fit you well? That is often a good place to start.
GOod places for tops are M&S Limited Collection and Autograph, H&M, Oasis. I find empire line tops are good at skimming the tummy and yet as they are fitted around the bust they are flattering.
This is a good example

Re trousers, best to get them so they fit your hips and have them taken into fit on the waist, this is not hard to do or too pricey but it will make your clothes look like they fit you properly.

And get yourself a good coat, decent flat boots and smart bag.
A good coat is esp useful as it can make you look decent/pulled together whatever you are wearing underneath!
Check out the Hobbs sale.

Thanks

Pannacotta -I only ever buy my trousers(mainly jeans)from next because they do the extra long in the directory.

I do find that Primark tops are generous in the length of body and sleeves.

Def agree about the coat and bag. Also my favourites are decent jeans and a white shirt, the shirt can be dressed up or down but for some reason always makes an outfit look smarter, especially if you wear with a chunky necklace.

Beauregard · 21/01/2008 22:24

Thanks ,can you recommend any online shops?

Look at M&S Autograph for tops, coats and bags, Hobbs for coats, Top Shop for their long/tall range (not sure what its called) and also Principles and MOnsoon for smarter things.

Thanks have looked at Hobbs and it is way out of my price range tbh.
