Wedding guest outfit - end of September

Hi, looking for ideas for a wedding outfit if anyone can help. It's been years since I've been to a wedding! Family member is getting married but we aren't a part of the bridal party or anything. Later September in a nice hotel - no church.

I'm early 40s, size 16 and 5'8, would like to have the tops of my arms covered and I hate my tummy.

Any ideas? I have seem some lovely full length dresses by my daughter says a full length dress would be too much. Weather would be fairly mildish at end of sept so was thinking a dress. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks x

I’ve got a wedding at the end of September too and my search was going to be for a “midi wrap dress”. I’ll probably stick to muted tones of colours (mustards, teals) because that’s what suits me anyway. But I’ve not started looking yet, will report back when I do! Will watch this thread with interest in the meantime. Oh - and I don’t think floor length is bad as long as it isn’t actually a “gown”?!

Good luck OP!

My birthday is at the end of September so I pay attention to the weather then. It's always bloody raining! You'll need a top layer.

What's your style and colouring?
I like this:

I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? https://www.johnlewis.com/live-unlimited-floral-print-satin-midi-wrap-dress-green-multi/p109189785?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=

Hi, thanks so much for the suggestion but I think it's a bit louder than what I would normally wear. I do like a wrap dress though but probably in is bit of a more muted style x

I do like this one, does it seem suitable? Would probably pair with wedges ?

I really like this Wallis silk mix one, love the semi sheer sleeves, you can easily accessorise with comfy black shoes-sandals that you've got and a bright clutch?

I have bought this for an October wedding. It is chiffon material with a dark underlining. It fits nicely across my boobs then skims my tummy. My legs are my best bit so they are out. I am 5'6" and a size 16.
