Purple pyjamas with polar bears on them.

Go go boots and a peephole bra

Pink stripey pyjama bottoms with a pink t-shirt and purple slippers (just had a shower with DS and now DP is putting him to bed)

I wearing threadbare sky blue socks that I've had for ten years. Both the heels have gone, I see.

I am wearing Levi jeans that I got from the charity shop for £4.00.

Underneath I am wearing French-cut pants that I also bought in the charity shop (still boxed, I add), for £1.50 for 3.

I am wearing a dove grey T-shirt with 'ARK AT EE' written on it .. which might make sense if you come from Somerset. This was a Christmas present for my brother two years ago. He forgot it when he left (probably because he thought it was shite), so I kept it.

So, all in all, this epitomy of style and glamour cost £5.50 all in.

Oh, talula! They're great!

Don't get me wrong. You won't always find great stuff for yourself, but there are always loads of things for the kids .. really cheap stuff. Toys, jigsaws, books, all manner of stuff.

And crazy things you wouldn't buy at full price, like mandolin slicers, and scented candles and all that surreal but likable palava

You have to pick your areas. The more well-heeled, the better the pickings .. but MY GOD GIRL ... you really should give 'em a go!
