Which winter shoes with wide-legged trousers?

I want to buy some wide legged trousers as they now seem to be back in, but I'm not sure what winter shoes would go with them. I've been wearing leggings/slim trousers for years, and all of the shoes I have look strange on me with wide legged trousers!

Loafers with a bit of a platform?

smart trainers?

Chunky anything. I remember wearing nubuck hiking boots, bootleg jeans and a sleeveless vest/ waistcoat with nothing underneath for years in the 90’s.

I wear them with Dr Martens for work. Shoes and boots as you can't really tell.

Also work with a more pointed toe boot with a low heel.

Chunky soled loafers or trainers

I wear leather trainers with my wide legged trousers, or my favourite chunky patent brogues in really dark red from Clarke's outlet, I love them. So comfy too.
