I was using ogx with biotin but have since heard that ogx has a lot of bad chemicals in, is this true? What shampoo can you recommend?

This is probably not the direction you're thinking of going in, but my hair has looked better and thicker since I've been using a solid shampoo bar. It wasn't immediate but I noticed the difference after several months. I swapped to avoid plastic waste so it was just a really great side effect/ bonus.

It takes a bit of getting used to as you (well I) initially think there isn't enough foam, but in fact I think there's probably far less build up on the hair and I definitely see less hair in the drain and two similar age female colleagues actually asked me what shampoo I was using because it looks good atm. I'm late 40s.

I’ve got fine hair and use Oaui shampoo and conditioner for fine hair. Had a great scent and I really like it:

Do you know why your losing hair?

CoffeeBeansGalore · 21/08/2022 18:53

L'Occitane strength and volumne

Try co-washing with a silicone-free conditioner. My fine hair has much more oomph when I do this.

Best to find out why your hair is thinning ie iron, androgens, stress etc & take it from there. Maybe a trichologist or endocrinologist to get your hormones checked.

You could try not using shampoo just use conditioner,? It’s just a try

I should’ve added that I’ve had all bloods done, I’ve put it down to getting older,
always had thin, fine hair but just feels and looks a bit thinner on top.
will look into ouai and bar shampoo
