Advice please from those with multiple lobe piercings - is it ok if the backs are touching?

Hi there,

Clue is in the title really, but just after some advice from those with more than one lobe piercing.

I got my second holes done yesterday, and they look fab from the front. My only concern is that on one ear, the butterfly back slightly overlaps with the butterfly of my first piercing. Is that likely to cause a problem? Do yours overlap at all? Not sure if I'm fussing over nothing!

I'm happy to take it out and get it re-done if needed. I only got it done as I was left a second pair of diamond studs in a will so I really need to be able to wear two pairs of studs, both with butterfly backs, without it being an issue. That's the whole point of the piercing...

Not an expert but can’t see why it would cause a problem. You could probably find different backs for them if you’re concerned though. You can get narrower ones, maybe ask a jeweller what they would recommend as you need to get the fit right so you don’t lose the earring.

Thanks both. I was hoping to keep the original backs as they're really secure and the earrings have serious sentimental value to me - I would hate to lose one!
