That are nice! Any ideas? My feet are soooo sweaty and stinky, but I have to wear them, and good ones or I get PF pain. I’ve had to shelve my winter ones as they smell so noxious 🤢

You are not going to like this but according to my Friend (no it's not me) the answer is Crocs.

The original ugly ones with breathing holes.

Can be easily rinsed (re:smell) and if you get the right size, super supportive on your arch.

I get it. I steal my sons crocs and they are super comfortable.

Butterflysize · 13/08/2022 19:35

I actually have some as ‘back door shoes’. My sweaty sweaty feet slide around in them without socks. And I don’t like wearing socks in 25+ degrees 😂

Birkenstocks

EquallyDivided · 13/08/2022 19:38

No, no not crocs. I have an old pair for the garden and any more than half an hour and I can feel my feet starting to twinge (had severe PF a few years ago and don't ever want it again). Birkenstocks for me in summer, boot slippers with orthotics in winter.

Dilbertian · 13/08/2022 19:40

Yup, Birkenstocks.

I have PF and fallen arches, and I live in my Birkenstocks. My slippers are Madrids, with or without socks. I also have a pair of Bostons which I'm more likely to wear out of doors, as I find them too warm for indoors.

Yapokazhupiter · 13/08/2022 19:43

Maybe this suggestion is no use if you don't get on well with Crocs but how about Fitflop sliders?

They're supposed to be great for PF and, like Crocs, can be washed easily.i have a pair and the mild beginnings of PF and find them really comfy and supportive.

No use if you're looking for cosy slippers but good for summer and autumn?

Cheesesteak · 13/08/2022 19:44

I would also say Birkenstocks. I live in mine Well worth the money as slippers.

Ganymedemoon · 13/08/2022 19:45

OOFOS, totally alleviated my PF. Now gone, so comfy. I use them as slippers.

They are designed for PF and I would say much better than crocs for PF as very supportive.

I wear Archies flip flops in summer as it is too hot for my Strive slippers. Game changing!

AtLeastPretendToCare · 13/08/2022 19:48

Also Birkenstocks here with PF. The cheapest sandals are normally the Arizona Eva which are plastic. I give them the occasional wash if get smelly.

I bought a pair of OOFOS but they were slightly too small for my very wide feet.

CutesyUserName · 13/08/2022 19:50

Skechers (the slip-on Go-Walks, not trainers) - absolutely hated here on MN, but loved by my PF-suffering feet.

They are washable, too, if they get a bit funky. I also put Super-Tuff Odor Eaters in them, which are also washable. No stinky feet here!

Blackdiame · 13/08/2022 19:51

Birkinstocks.

Birkenstocks

This.

dmask · 13/08/2022 19:55

Birkenstocks Eva plastic for the summer, Giusswien (sp?) for the winter.

Ganymedemoon · 13/08/2022 19:59

It's interesting reading all these suggestions for Birkenstocks. I had crippling PF and they were the worst thing for my feet, they just aggravated it and made it a lot worse. It's only 2 years later after I have got rid of PF that I am happily reunited with my Birks. :)

Some people recommend Skechers but they made it worse for me. I love my Birkenstocks though and wear them all the time indoors (I have woolly clog type ones for winter) as walking with bare feet can aggravate PF

Butterflysize · 13/08/2022 21:09

@CutesyUserName machine washable is very attractive but reviews seem to say they come up narrow - should have added, just to sound even more attractive, my feet are WIDE 😂

i had never thought of using Birks, that could be the answer - if they come up wide enough

Vionic slippers work for me.
I have zebra print ones & put them on the minute I get out of bed. As some mornings the plantar fascitis is really bad.

RaininSummer · 13/08/2022 21:48

I wear fit flop flip flops as slippers in the summer. They don't aggregate my bad PF. I have to wear insoles in boots or trainers otherwise when walking or working.

TigerStripesRoarrr · 13/08/2022 22:01

oofos and vionics are lifechanging for my feet and do calf stretches that you hold for a good 30 seconds.

Caaarrrl · 13/08/2022 22:05

I swear by vionics. I have boots and a few pairs of sandals but no slippers as yet. Hoping for some for Christmas.

paradyning · 13/08/2022 22:17

Bonkerz · 13/08/2022 22:21

I've gone for Skechers sandals. If I walk in anything other than sketchers my PF is agony.

TabithaTittlemouse · 13/08/2022 22:24

I use Birkenstock clogs as slippers. I actually miss them when I’m not at home.
