ooh I don't know, I look like a librarian (no offence to real librarians, in fact I fancy two of our librarians so must find new phrase to suggest dowdy slightly arty look)

maybe some shiny hair stuff, and yes perhaps more oomphy clothes? I always like big jewellery etc as it makes you look as if you have made effort with your appearance even if you really haven't

and some shiny skin stuff or a lipstick or something

You look really nice! I'd be tempted to get your fringe cut though if I were you, maybe with some slightly feathery layers put in at the sides as well.

I'd say go for a slightly higher neckline, with a necklace - if you like dark colours a softer grey might be a nice change from black. Otherwise, I think lilac would look lovely on you, like Hana suggested.

You could treat yourself to some make up, especially a lovely foundation to even out your colour a bit.

And tell your dp to bog off - he's talking nonsense!!!

Dp just doesn't seem to find me at all attractive, turns me down if I want (ahem) you know a bit, and tells me I look a mess. Just wanted to know from a female perspective.
