What shoes would you wear with this dress?

Dress is several inches longer on me than on the model.

It's for a casual birthday party at a local pub, (about 20 people i think) I know the birthday girl is going to be dressed up but she is young and it's a significant birthday for her. I, on the other hand am in my mid 40's and dress is size 18.

I have a pair of wedge sandals but they are white and I wonder if they look too stark with the dress. Whatever it is needs to be wide fit.
