What slightly tacky S&B item can you just not resist?

I love a glittery nail varnish. Just love them. I'm in my 40s and should probably go for something subtler, but sparkly nails and toenails just make me a bit happier whenever I look at them. This is my newest one and I'm jolly pleased with it.

What are your slightly tacky faves?

Hybrid lashes and acrylic nails… I know I know!

They’re not tacky, but they’re certainly not the height of style: Fit flops. I need them as my feet have problems (plantar fasciitis) and I’d rather be comfortable. I’m selling off all my beautiful high heeled shoes and boots now as I really won’t wear them again. Might keep one pair just to remind me that I was once able to wear them!

Sequin tops. I’m a magpie, drawn to shiny stuff. DH calls them ‘Christmas tops’ ✨

I like leopard toe nails. I am also contemplating buying myself a Percy Pig rucksack. For fun, so....

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal They’re lash extensions, which mix Russian lashes (where there’s like 3 attached to each individual lash) with normal ones. I used to just have full sets of Russians when I was younger but they’re a bit much for me now 😂

Varnish is a Nails.inc one from M&S called Dream Dust, @Talisin.

I like a neon, but only when I've got a tan. A bright coral or hot pink really pops then, especially on my toes.

I like the sound of lash extensions, @DelisButAlsoCrime , as I have the most pathetic, spindly lashes, but have yet to try them. DH, DD and DS all have gorgeous, thick, ridiculously long black lashes and I'm jealous.

Leopard print. I consider it a neutral. Although I like it in colour also. Possibly more. I don't like zebra.

Sequins! I can not resist a sequin, even having a sequin wedding dress 😂

Big bold spots! Bright coloured dresses. Oh, and l confess to stockings and suspenders in spring and autumn; l don’t think the tacky reputation is deserved though. Many of our grandmother’s wore them day to day.

I totally agree with you as I recently bought a cream/black spotty dress from Zara.
