Is brown hair on trend?

Thinking about dying my blonde hightlighted hair back to chocolate brown as it’s grown out a lot. My dark roots are inches long.

I think I’ve seen a lot more brunettes lately (sure everyone used to be blonde!) but I can’t decide whether I’ll regret it or not!

Can anyone recommend a good hair dye brand? What if it ends up jet black?

Always go lighter than you think, box dyes always come out much darker.

But don't dye your hair just to follow a trend which may or may not be out there, stick with what suits you, OP.

Thank you! Good idea.

my natural hair colour is almost black and I just want an easy life. 😭 highlights are pricey and I’m too busy for it all.

I do look lovely with blonde hair but it’s a huge upkeep!

I think my natural colour washes me out :(

I don’t know about being on trend, I see a lot of women with bleached hair and often wonder why.
I think unless you can afford both time and money with the endless upkeep, go brown.
Would you be better getting it professionally done, rather than risking it going wrong?

Personally I would just grow it out balyarge she still trendy. You can spot a home dye box job an absolute mile off.

I'd not do a box dye but I am over cautious like that. Brown always seems to come out darker and look very one dimensional.

I don't know what's on trend but I love my brown hair (and brunette hair in general on others) and have never dyed it. If and when I go grey I'll go to the hairdresser and ask them to replicate my natural colour. I wonder if it really washes you out or whether you just aren't used to it OP.

At the end of the day you can always go back to blonde in the future if you like.

If you do go brown, try and get one that isn’t too “red” in case you decide to go back to blonde, I asked for brown last year, hated it, and went back to old faithful blonde highlights at my next appointment 😁
