Foundation to cover large pores on nose

After some advice around how best to apply foundation to cover large pores on my nose.

I had a couple of blackheads which once they’ve gone have left a very noticeable hole. Foundation seems to make it worse!

I use primer (Benefit) which completely blurs and hides it but as soon as I then add foundation on top it becomes even more noticeable that with no make up on.

The foundation sits well on the rest of my face so I don’t really want to go without, just wondering if anyone has any tips?

Even aside from the hole, foundation which looks great on my face just looks really cakey and not blended well on my nose.

I’m useless at anything to do with make up, please help as it’s getting me down!

I find putting it on that area with fingers instead of a sponge/brush helps Smile

How are you applying it?

I don't think there is any better foundation than Doublewear, it's miraculous stuff on my skin.

What are you using to apply the foundation?

If you use a make up primer before hand it works amazingly well. I've heard from profesional make up artists if you use eyeshadow primer that's even better ,then apply foundation with a brush and work the product into the skin with a damp beauty blender. I agree with OP double wear by Estée Lauder is AMAZING and haven't found a better one yet!

I use the Benefit primer and set it with a tiny bit of translucent powder before putting on foundation. I apply my foundation with a beauty blender type sponge and it works quite well as long as I'm very sparing with the powder.

This is not a foundation but acts as a primer. i read about it in an article about blackheads . I bought it yesterday. I like what I see so far. www.boots.com/la-roche-posay-effaclar-mat-40ml-10156201

I’ve been using a sponge but I tried a brush today and that seemed to work better.

Setting it with powder first is a good idea too.

You need a brush, and use it it circular movements
