A.P.C Demi Lune - tell me everything! Or similar

I’m thinking of getting one of these www.apcstore.com/demi-lune-bag-cab-pxbjq-f61048.html as a 50th birthday present to myself. Can anyone tell me how they are? I love the look, simple but edgy, and it looks like it would fit my day to day stuff - umbrella, phone purse etc. However, I’m worried that it will be too stiff and will crease where the zip opening is, and will be like a box bashing against my hip when I walk. Does anyone have one and can tell me pros and cons? Or offer alternatives? I’ve got a £500 budget

I always think their bags look nice on the website - but on one of my rare visits to an actual shop I found they seemed more outside than inside. Very stiff, and all the paraphernalia of zips and whatnot meant they don’t open terribly wide and you couldn’t fit much in. And, yes, slightly unwieldy in their boxiness. (I much prefer something almost flat that can disappear under my arm.) I went in with the intention of buying but came out empty handed.

If you primarily adore the look of the bag then go ahead!

This looks squishier. Though less ‘elegant’ if that’s what you’re wanting.

And this is much edgier but may go out of fashion too soon?

I have one - bought in 2019 and it's still by go-to bag when I'm not using a tote. It is fairly stiff, but I've found that because it's so robust it's barely aged at all.

Pros - goes with almost everything, can fit much more stuff than you think - I can do phone, card wallet, tiny umbrella hand sanitizer, earbuds, tissues and a lipstick with room to spare. Very robust - mine looks almost new after 3 years.

Cons - very stiff, can be hard to get things out sometimes. Can't really fit anything in the inside pocket because it's so small.

They sell them discounted on their surplus website, though not the classic colours.
